New Left Side
Step1:
To start we need the source of your left side of
your page. To do this check this link out http://www.myleague.com/php/page.php?t=myleague&p=fr_index&l=league_name&g=cl&svr=cgi#
and change the cgi# to match to your server and change the league_name to your
league name. Your league name is
www.myleague.com/league_name
To find your cgi# check out your tourney links. They will start with it like
cgi10. After you get to the page view the source of it and copy it to notepad.
To view it in most browsers you click view in source or page source. Then page
will come up with codes. That is what goes in notepad. The example below will
work to in IE 7 by right clicking in the left side.
Step 2: Below is a
thumbnail you can enlarge to full window size if needed. Highlighted area below
should be removed from your new left side. Basically all codes from the top all
the way down to the first table code. Do this and proceed to step 3
Step 3: This is the step we will replace what you just deleted to make the new left side page work in all browsers with no problems. Copy and paste the codes in the beginning of your new left side, the codes are listed below and then proceed to step 4
Step 4: This is
the main purpose people make changes to their left side. To change the
background. Now to do this just simply change the image location or url in
the html to the new one you have hosted. Below is where you place the new
pictures url. You can change more depending on your knowledge of html. These
instructions are to help get you started.
Step 5: Now all you have to do is save all the html and place it on your website. You can do this a number of ways. You can save this document on your computer and copy and paste the code, in case something happens and you don't have to go throught this again. Or you can simply copy and paste it in a html file on your server it is all up to you. In the links section I have given you a list of some great free sites that will let you do this if do not happen to have it. After uploading html to your website remember the url or location of the new left side so we can get it on your page.
Step 6:
Redirecting your new left side on your page. This is not as complicated as it
seems. copy the url or location of you new page and place or paste it in the code below
where it says new_leftside. Then copy the code below that has your new left side
in it and paste in announcement or edit right table. Click save and you will
then see your new left side appear.
